9/25/15 blog

Tbis week I leaned that it's very hard to make a flour baby. I also learned that teens like to poke and mess with flour babies, as well as throw them and do as much as they can until the baby breaks. I also learned about babies from different cultures and how they're raised etc. I also Leander about weird but cool things babies do because of their reflexes. I learned a lot this week.

9/18/15

This week in class I learned about birth. I also learned about what midwives are and how natural birth can be safer and a life changing experience. Midwives help women give birth at the woman's home or are sometimes in the hospital room when the woman is giving birth and make sure the doctors do not trick the mother into doing sosmthing that is unnecessary to give birth. Natural births are safer and less expensive because the midwives do not pump unneeded medicine into your body unlike the hospital, and natural births are less harmful because their isn't medicine that can easily harm the baby.  I learned that doctors have been tricking woman into getting cesarean sections instead of giving vaginal birth because they want the operation to go faster or because it is easier than vaginal birth. As well as all of that I've learned that the United States' births are two times as expensive as other countries' but we have more mother and infant deaths than any other country. I leaned a lot of interesting stuff this week.

Blog #2

This week I learned a lot about the end of a pregnancy and problems associated with pregnancy. First, I learned about the fetal stage and months 4-9 or until the birth of the baby. During this time mostly physical developments and the baby just getting larger in general is going on at this time. Second, I leaned about the science of the baby's creation such as their chromosomes and DNA as well as about twins, triplets, etc. Finally, I leafed about problems in pregnancy to the baby and or the mother. We covered a lot about fetal alcohol syndrome and fetal drug addiction, which is when the mother drinks alcohol and it does drugs while pregnant with the baby. Yet, everyone has different reactions to FAS and FDA so for some people if the mother had one drink the baby can get FAS and for others the mom can be a alcoholic and the baby and be little to not at all affected so it's referred to just not drink or do drugs while pregnant at all since their is no way of telling how you and or your baby will be affected. I learned a lot this week.

Blog #1

Last week in Early Childhood Education I learned about many things. First, I leaned about early signs of pregnancy which are a missed menstrutal period, feeling tired and faint, etc. The normal length of a pregnancy is about 40 weeks or 9 months. I also learned about how the baby is formed (fertilization of egg). Finally, I leaned about the germinal embryonic and fetal stages (the first 3 months), the baby is first called a zygote then a embryo then finally a fetus before the baby is born.
During this week I've leaned how important the first three months of a pregnancy is, and how much happens within the first three months (mostly the first month) of the development of the baby.
